As mentioned in your Discord thread: For modding releases just use the downloads area. I don't see a benefit of having a release subforum when the downloads area offers the same and even more functionality like versioning for your files. WTB and WTS exists under the Marketplace category already but you will have more success with using the equivalent channels in the Discord server.

Hello people, currently most of you will miss your developer and contributor ranks that you had on Model-Changing and currently have in the Modding discord. DM me on Discord (kittykaev) with your WoW Modding account name and i'll assign that role to you. That way you can join the colored name gang on here aswell. :)

Today is the first day and as you can see, we still rock the old MC logo in the page header. I'd love to swap it out with a fitting one but sadly my hands are not ment for drawing beautiful things. If anyone of you is bored and would love to help you, please contact me on Discord (kittykaev).

In our World of Warcraft modding community, we not only celebrate your modding skills but also reward your active participation and contributions through our unique Rank System. This system honors your dedication to our community and follows the iconic Vanilla WoW PvP rank titles, offering a total of 14 prestigious ranks to achieve. How the Rank System Works Earning ranks in our community is straightforward and based on your active involvement. You'll accumulate points for various actions, and as your points increases, you'll ascend through the ranks, each more prestigious than the last. Here's how you can earn points: Posting Content: Every content item you post, whether it's a tutorial, a resource, or an announcement, earns you one point. Sharing your knowledge benefits the entire community. Engaging in Discussions: Each comment or reply you post in our forums adds one point to your counter. Sharing insights, asking questions, and participating in discussions enrich our community. Receiving Reactions: Every reaction you receive from fellow community members, such as likes, adds one point to your rank score. This showcases the appreciation your contributions receive. The Vanilla WoW Rank Titles Our rank system pays homage to the Vanilla WoW PvP rank titles, offering 14 distinct ranks for our community members to achieve. Here's a table where you can find the point requirements for each rank: Rank Title Points Required Private / Scout 0 Corporal / Grunt 15 Sergeant 30 Master Sergeant / Senior Sergeant 50 Sergeant Major / First Sergeant 100 Knight / Stone Guard 200 Knight-Lieutenant / Blood Guard 300 Knight-Captain / Legionnaire 400 Knight-Champion / Centurion 500 Lieutenant Commander / Champion 650 Commander / Lieutenant General 800 Marshal / General 1000 Field Marshal / Warlord 1500 Grand Marshal / High Warlord 2000 As you earn points and progress through the ranks, you'll not only gain recognition within our community but also inspire others with your dedication. We encourage all members to actively participate, contribute, and engage in discussions to climb the ranks and become true modding champions. Your WoW Modding Team

Heyho! As most of you will know, WoW Modding is based on our old Model-Changing community. We know that all the shared tutorials, resources, posts and pictures are important for you. That's why we've ported everything that we could over to WoW Modding. We hope that building on the foundation of Model-Changing will make our new platform feel like home to most of you. 🙂 You can find all old posts and tutorials in the Model-Changing archive. You can find all old downloads in our Downloads section. You can find all old shared pictures, project screenshots, etc. in our Gallery. Your WoW Modding Team

Welcome to WoW Modding! Modcraft was the birthplace of WoW modding but it sadly died a slow death. Model-Changing had the same fate and slowly broke more and more over time and eventually died. This time we want to make it better. WoW Modding is ment as a hub to share WoW modding resources, downloads and tutorials with the modding community of our favorite game - World of Warcraft. It is based on the old Model Changing-Board (~October 2023) and all of its posts can be found in the Model-Changing Archive (Read Only). The old downloads, shared galleries and written tutorials can be found in our Download and Gallery areas and in the Tutorial Archive (Read Only). We also added a bunch of features to the platform and plan to add more in the near future. You can find information about these things in the Features forum. We also have to say that we launch earlier as expected due to the issues with the old Model Changing forum. That's why e.g. the tutorial area is not yet done. But we're working on it! We know that, especially in the Tutorials archive, some links, images and attachments are broken. Sadly that's nothing that we could repair without spending an absurd amount of time on it. And if you set that in relation with the posting date (the first ones were posted in 2015), they will probably be outdated and overly complex anyways. Instead we will use that time to make the platform better and writing new, up to date tutorials that will - hopefully - help you in your modding journey. And due to security reasons IPS forbid special characters in usernames. If you had e.g. a @ or & in your username, it got removed. You should be able to configure your username on your profile page -> Account Settings -> Display Name. We hope that's understandable and we're sorry for that. The WoW Modding Discord server is still the heart of the community and we don't intend to change that. We want both the server and this forum to live hand in hand. That's why the only possibility to register is via Discord. You can still login into your old account via Email and Display Name because we don't want you to get locked out of your old account. You should link your forum account and Discord account if possible. We hope you'll love all the work we've put into this community. Feel free to post in the Suggestions forum if you're unhappy with something or have an idea to make this place even better. Your WoW Modding Team

Heyho, one of the most important things for this community is probably our Downloads area. We've ported all old downloads from Model-Changing to WoW Modding to make sure we can still offer the same foundation of tools that got all of you started modding. We're also looking forward to all the great releases that you will come up with. ❤️ You might find the old downloads in some different categories since we restructured that area a bit to make it even easier for you to find and post new things. If you're missing a category, feel free to post in our Suggestions forum. 🙂 Your WoW Modding Team

The Eluna API Documentation is the most helpful resource when you develop scripts with Eluna. https://elunaluaengine.github.io/

Hey guys and girls, i've uploaded a crawler backup of Modcraft so you can find old tutorials etc. on it. You can find it on http://modcraft-backup.de/ It has no forum functionality at all because i don't have any of the original modcraft files. See it as a read only copy. Thanks to Alastor for the backup.

Maybe a trainer with type = 0 and requirement = 0 will allow all classes to train. I guess you can assign the class spells via trainer_spell. I guessed you're using TrinityCore.

v0.1.2: Fixed a bug that made columns unusable if they had a default NULL value configured in the database (TC has this for a few columns).

Hey guys! i wrote a little framework that allows you to create, load, modify and delete world database objects with Eluna in your Lua scripts. I've only tested it with the most recent version of AzerothCore and TrinityCore but in theory it should work on all emulators that Eluna supports. Would be happy if someone could take some time to play around with it and report any issues. You can find it on GitHub: https://github.com/Kaev/DbScriptExtensions There are examples in the readme file but feel free to ask questions here.

The problem with that is that usually the private servers don't translate their custom DBC entries. If you would switch from russian to english and there is no entry for it, the game wouldn't show any text at all.
