  1. I think they are in the same folder with the models themselves
  2. Can't you just extract the textures, convert them to png, and then open them in blender's UV Map window?
  3. Textures are separate from the model, as far as I know. How else would you have different colour skins?
  4. Amaroth, I know how to execute an sql, just wasn't sure which sqls, and where, I am supposed to get. Ohai, as far as I know, 4.3.4 is not officially supported, but some people keep updating it (as you can see in githab) I will try what you guys suggested when I get home, and inform you here.
  5. What does that mean? I did this Question is: where do I get those sql files drom? The tdb archive only contains "updates" of those, and the world one Also, why is Navicat not recommended? I don't mind using something else but I've really got used to the interface
  6. Hey! I decided to try, once again, to compile a server on my own. I followed this guide, using this source. All was fine until I got to the part where you set up the SQL tables. I connected to root (using Navicat), ran create_mysql.sql, and ended up having the following databases: auth, characters, information_schema, mysql, performance_schema, test, and world. Auth, characters, test, and world are empty. Following the guide, I downloaded TDB_full_world_434.15_2017_01_02.sql and placed it in the same folder as bnetserver.exe. I then ran the latter in hopes that it would prompt me to create databases and all would be wonderful, BUT NO! Bnetserver.exe just closes instantly (which makes sense, since there are no tables for it to connect to). What should I do?
  7. It's possible that there are other requirements (class/race/faction/level) for the item. Have you checked those?
  8. Which wow versions are supported?
  9. Well, then it's quite lame of them to show it
  10. I know, but the avatar doesn't have to resemble him perfectly
  11. So how do you guys like blizzcon announcements? Personally, I'm getting ready to steal *mad voice* ALL THE MODELS
  12. Open your WMO file with 010 editor. At the right you'll see texture names. Find the original (abandoned) texture there and replace it with the one you want. An example:
  13. Can't you just take the clear texture, give it the same name as the abandoned one and add it to a patch? That would replace all of those abandoned textures though. You could also open the wmo file in 010 editor and change the texture name there to the one you need.
  14. That's very useful, thanks! Words aren't always the problem though. I now understand the difference between yaw and pitch, but I don't understand the overall meaning of some fields. Basically, what do they do? The fields are: mouseLookOffsetPitch cameraPitchOffset facingLimit[Right/Left] msslTrgt[Turn/Pitch/Mouse]Lingering msslTrgtEndOpacity cameraYawOffset uiLocomotionType
  15. Aren't most of the models in dbc's written as .mdx?
  16. Hey! That language barrier hit me hard when I tried to edit Vehicle.dbc. Could anyone explain what each of those fields does?
  17. Could anyone explain the difference between mdx and m2, and any reason to convert between the two?
  18. I would imagine it's best to get the version closest to your client
  19. Just import A to blender (using m2i or obj, depending on the model), then open the UV map window and open the texture of B, then map all the vertices as you wish
  20. Hey! I got the legion Medivh model, converted to m2i and edited in Blender. I then exported it to m2i, converted back to m2, and also used jM2 to convert to Cata format. However, when I try to view it in WMV, it does not have any wireframe.
  21. Hey!

Does anyone have/know of a tropical island-type map (preferably with a lot of water around) that would work in Cata?

I'm working on a project that requires me to do a lot of noggiting. However, my skill is lacking and while I'm practicing noggit and reading tutorials, I'd like to work on other ingame aspects of the project, which is why I need a temporary map.
