Hey! I want to create a "Davy Jones" model merging the sea vrykul (without the hair and the beard), Merciless one, a pirate hat the crab weapon and the pirate captain models kind of like that: Unfortunately, I'm worse than an absolute zero in modelling and I couldn't even convert an edited m2i to m2 because of some crash. If you do not fear death, please help. p.s. If you know a better way of making captain calamari, I'm open for suggestions.

The summarising conclusion of that topic: When the vehicle npc stops moving, it has to create an invisible collision gobject right in itself. When it starts moving/turning, it should delete the gobject.For spawning, action_type = 50, target_type = 1. Event_type possibly 28 or 43.For despawning, action_type = 41, target_type presumaby 12. Event_type possibly 34.It is possible to copy collision from an .m2 using the script in this tutorial by Skarn, but I also need to somehow create collision from wmo's (because that's what most ships are). As Skarn told me, it's not possible to do that straight away. Maybe I could convert wmos to m2s?kojac488 knows everythingI'll be thankful for any kind of help.

Hey! I was really annoyed by having to restart noggit every time I changed the text file I imported models from. So, I made this import.txt, that includes every .m2 and .wmo file (except for shaders, skyboxes, spells and armor (includes weapons)) up to and including the currently known Legion files. It worked nicely, so I thought I'd share it. -
Ok, I'm not THAT smart. Actually, I've no idea what "mash" means. So it creates the wdt out of adts made in Taliis, right? Does that avoid the usual "taliis" kind of problems?

Yeah, I found it. But you are using taliis there, while there are more advanced things like Crytec Tools and stuff.

Hey! The word "request" might be too harsh here. Its more of a pleading for someone to make a complete (from scratch to finish) up-to-date (I guess not using taliis) tutorial on making, editing and installing a custom map in noggit (sdl 1.4, which is the latest, I think), with screenshots and links. I hope someone reads this and goes "Oh, why didn't I think of it myself?!" and suddenly writes a beautiful tutorial I described.

The main question isnt about conversion. After I convert and I have the converted wdt and adts, what do I do with them?

Hey! I wanted to make some changes to the original Eastern Kingdoms map on my Cata server. So, I made them in Noggit (on the WotLK version of the map, obviously) and I now have a wdt and a couple of adt files with the needed changes. Next, as I understand, I should upconvert them to Cata, but what should I do after? Do I just put those files into a patch? Should I somehow merge the original and the edited Azeroth.wdt? If there is a step by step tutorial somewhere, I'd be grateful for a link.

Actually, even if I'm really slow it still happens. For example, I click on a square to remove it and nothing happens to that square, as if I didn't click it. Instead, a square on another adt gets removed. I even do it with my camera just above the square I wanna delete. Or, when I hold ctrl and move the mouse to make a line of holes, it just duplicates somewhere else!

Hey! I have this weird problem: when I make a hole somewhere, noggit also adds like ten more all over the map (even on other adts). What's wrong?

There are no water-related keybinds in the help menu other than the toggle one. Anyway, the advice to look in the menu did help. I needed to go "create water" (in the assist tab), then level it up to the water on the other adts and then go "auto opacity". Result:

Hey! Im editing the area around old Dalaran and I thought the lake is too small, so I lowered the ground and now I just have a hole in the water. How can I fill it?

In Culling of Stratholme its already scourge-style. Wowwiki says its just normal Stratholme but I've no idea how to access it. Maybe its something pre-cata? I cant look all of the in WMV because 1)WMV crashes when you try to view a wmo 2)Its a part of stratholme_old.wmo (at least in culling of stratholme)
