  1. We fixed the problem with user permissions. Now everyone should be able to create a project page.

  2. Particularly this function is really simple, it can't have any hidden bugs. The only "bug" (which is indeed a disadvantage of the formula") is the deletion of models sharing the same coords. That rarely happens even on Blizzard maps. And I don't actually mean duplication. It may be two different models, looking separate but sharing the same coords. Model removal may happen on save though, because the UID calculation formula introduced in SDL 1.3 is extremely stupid.
  3. It has only one bug. It removes also the models that share exactly the same coords. Like to model spawned inside each other.
  4. I have no idea, but i doubt that it will work like that. Just wanted to mention that it's possible to do on-the-fly-edits. This is a cool example, i guess: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDxcbV0jyfc And to add a bit to the discussion: Yeah, you can find much stuff in the WoWDev wiki, but the pretty bad formatting and sometimes missing informations are a pain in the ass. When i made the reading part of my .adt library, i had problems because some things weren't correctly mentioned in the wiki. I had to ask Cromon like a thousand times to get it working - and i'm pretty sure that i still read some parts not 100% correctly. That's why i'm not developing the writing part atm. And i'm pretty sure if i would start to work on a CASC editor, that i'll face the next big problems after like 20 minutes of working. (+ i'm a lazy as fuck, but let's keep that as a secret) Where will the streaming save things, then?
  5. Amaroth, do you mind me copying that to my Noggit FAQ? Because a lot of people have no idea how to get rid of disappearing models.
  6. Do you mean to say that if I send patches using streaming to WoD the game will automatically create a new CASC update?
  7. I think I still named the most necessary software in general. There might be internal list of priorities, of course. But overall, I could have named a bunch of other stuff that I would want. But I may code that myself as it may be done with 010 scripts and I certainly will when I have time and inspiration for that.
  8. I would suggest you to make a new map and spawn some models on it. Then convert to MoP and see if the bug is still there. Then we might be able to see where the issue comes from.
  9. Good idea, actually. I think I can name some already: World Editor. It can be either Noggit or Neo or whatever else but it needs ot support new expansions and work properly.DBC/DB2 Editor.CASC Editor. So far we have perfect CASC readers, why no one cares to make an editor? Just because programmers are not interested in modding!M2 Converter/Editor supporting any public 3D format that would be easy to convert from.WMO Converter/Editor. We already have a pretty much decent MirrorMachine by Gamh and Blender plugins by happyhack. Though, all of them are made for 3.3.5a editing (changes to WMOs are minor though, very easy to redo saving) but they have a bunch of bugs that need to be fixed. That's what I need so far. Maybe other modders need more.
  10. Koward, I think you mean reverseengineering, not sure if retroengineering is even a thing . We don't really need much things reversed now. For doing modding it is just enough to write the software on the knowledge base that we already have. PXR.dk wiki has pretty much every aspect of new file formats documented. It just requires someone to make a thing. Another problem is that almost all the programmers in WoW Modding scene are not interested in the product of modding. They just code for fun or educational purposes. So, they are not interested in releasing the actual product. When they loose interest in coding a tool, they give up. We need to find people who have the required coding skills and are personally interested in seeing the results of modding performed with their software. Otherwise, no one is going to code anything. In 2008-2009 when most of the software was made, guys like schlumpf, Tigurius, tharo and other known programmers in the scene possibly had personal interest in modding. Some of them were even a part of a project, as far as I know. So, we must find a way to keep people interested, otherwise modding will die out. Ghaster, it would be really cool if you could describe somewhere a process of making new continent in WoD, so that we can make tutorials and make life easier for people. We should share the knowledge we have to get the modding forward.
  11. As I already said on modcraft, awesome work. I love the atmosphere and everything else, though I want to point out that we have a special gallery section that is more convinient to store images. Here your thread can get lost among questions and other threads quite easily.
  12. Guys, check out my Legion models release. I updated the link.

  13. What Noggit did you use for building a zone?
  14. This is rather weird. Do you have an obj file created? Just asking because he stated it in his video.

I've been really much into Swedish metal lately, mostly power metal. So, listening to Nocturnal Rites, Sabaton and Hammerfall. From Nocturnal Rites, I would recommend the entire album called 8th Sin. Their best songs are all there. Hammerfall and Sabaton have good things all over their works.
  16. First of all, what Noggit version do you use? It is very important in finding out the source of a problem.
  17. Though, I am pretty sure it used to be a thing on Cata.
  18. Really nice and useful release. The table seems to be missing ProjectSkyFire 4.3.4 though.
  19. Great job. You made it even before Legion Beta came out Neat.
  20. I mean those values are usualy similar. Have a look at the blackrock lava around the mountain. I think it is used there.
  21. I wonder why would you need to change existing UVmap? Especially if the tool is intended for 3.3.5a where you can't create moving lava floods and other liquid edits. Though, I think the information in templates and wiki is probably correct as many tooly were made according to it. Anyway, can't help you much with uint16 problem as I am not very experienced in coding.

Well, my music preferences are actually quite wide. My favourite kind of music is definitely metal \oo| |oo/. I listen to quite many sub-genres of it. I really like when it is mixed with some instruments that are not typical for it such as violin, organ and other things. I also like some symphonic music (epic music), rock and some ambience sountracks. I am okay with growling when it is mixed with clean vocals but I can't stand scream. Though, I mostly prefer clean vocals. I also can't stand rap and most modern pop-music with primitive lyrics. That's pretty much it I don't have any favourite song because I often listen to different stuff from my playlist. But I'd share a recent video by Lindemann which I like
  23. There are some hardcore fisting scenes in the third picture, lol. The modelling looks amazing, you surely can film payed 3D porn machinima now.
  24. Looks like a total gnomeland.
  25. Nice gnome/dwarf massacre.
