  1. Hiya, Before you go any further you should check out this thread where the question first appeared. So I've tried to work it out myself but prolly am doing it wrong or forgot something. So the Map ID should be "32" That's the info the map gives me inside noggit. The Map ID where the water coloring is how I want it is "3621" So I opened LightIntBand.dbc and changed row 19 Water color [light] From 0x0 (default) to 0x9880 "0x9880" was found at row 19 at Id "3621" So yea, And before anyone mentions it. Thank you for reading.
  2. Hiya, For a while now I have been working on a custom map/continent and today It might be time to release some screenshots of the work so far. it's far from done and this is basicly the first serious thing I ever do in noggit. But with the help of Skarn ( who deserve part of the credit for his advice and guidance) I for one think it looks rather good. I hope to be able to start with the zones soon and in the end, hope to release the server I dream of playing on. Allright, Here we go.
  3. Summer has come to it's end, Finally have some time on my hands to put into my map. Is it ready for objects and zones?

Am I allowed to ask what kind of map you're going to make?

Offcourse, it's a continent where basicly my whole project will take place on.

      WoW! What a good idea!

  4. Just wanted to state of out of blue that asking for some cash while doing all the work is perfectly fine. With the fact that you are actually also asking a decent fair price.

There is a way around the diffrent heights. Add the area's of water from high amount to low and always select the area's you are working on. That's how I get it to work.
  6. From starting from a flat solid coloured area to a fully formed area with water. I've come far and amaze myself. Huge thanks to Skarn for standing by me off course.

Hope to be able to release some shots soon.

  7. Havn't touched lighting nor sky/skyboxes yet at this point. I will add my water on full opacity and it should resolve laterwith lighting I hope.
  8. No idea what you mean by saying that the settings only count for one ADT. What would that have to do with the color? Both water types are the same for sure. Tried that and double checked that couple of times. I think it will be the sky then. Since nagrand has a skybox and my map does not.
  9. Hiya, I'm at the stage where I can finally start adding water to my created map. But when I add water on pretty much any area on my map is more greener then when I though about the concept in other exiting wow maps. Both times the water has the same type and opacity. I have two picture to illustrate. (First picture is the water in my map) (Second picture is the water in Nagrand ( and how I want the color to be) Any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance. 10. I like this one alot atm.
  11. Alright, It was just a random idea I just had, if it's not that much of a difference then it would indeed not be worth the effort.
  12. Just my idea but maybe a software that allows you to modiffy the log-in screen and character creation fully? Positioning, Fonts, extra features like quality selection, swapping out background for images and video's, Maybe even let it work together with WMV to add 3D objects into it?
  13. If you found a working download link on google it might be an awesome idea if you bring this release up to include the link?
  14. Too unskilled for my concept. Too determined & stubborn to let it go. Dilemma, dilemma

Try doing it step by step.

Thanks, that's my plan at this moment, just take it as it goes one step at a time and just figure it out. but sometimes I don't know the next step or if the steps I want to take are the correct onces.

For now the steps are the following.

Draw basic map sketch (Getting PS tomorrow)
Try to add a blanc map to noggit.
      Figure out Alpha mapping.
      Detail the map figure.
Figure out how to get it in-game/ playable ( Wow compiled ??)

  15. That would be awesome to have on a 3.3.5a server. Love that skin. Hope you can get the animation to work too
  16. Your work is indeed amazing but for me personally the shoulders don't match the whole set like you have pointy agressieve looking horns on the head but then on the shoulders smooth lines, nice curves.
  17. At step 2: "Install the compiler/IDE Visual Studio Community 2013 with Update 5 or Visual Studio Community 2015 test Important note when installing Visual Studio 2015" It wont allow me to install the 2013 version because my windows version is to old and I don't have explorer 10. I got windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit... It's not that old -_-'
  18. "More work? Off I go than." Thanks alot mate ^^
  19. Thanks for the help guys, Do i then Install trinity first or use the tutorial directly on the sunwellcore files?
  20. Hiya, As start on my project id like to start with two things. Creating the map obviously and having a server setup on my computer that I will use to edit and see the details from. Starting at the moment with core. To start with Trinitycore and than change it to sunwellcore (I suppose thats how it works?) wich is a trinitycore sidestep with better blizzard spellscaling and less major spell bugs. I decided to follow this guide ( a bit outdated but okay) http://www.ac-web.org/forums/showthread.php?111111-How-to-compile-a-fresh-Trinity-Core But sadly I'm already stuck on step 2 " Configuring and Generating Visual C++ solutions via CMake: " When setting it up like they are telling you I get the error at configure. "The C compiler identification is unknown The CXX compiler identification is unknown CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:12 (project): No CMAKE_C_COMPILER could be found. CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:12 (project): No CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER could be found. Configuring incomplete, errors occurred! See also "C:/World Of Warcraft Project/Trinity/Build/CMakeFiles/CMakeOutput.log". See also "C:/World Of Warcraft Project/Trinity/Build/CMakeFiles/CMakeError.log". Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  21. Wondefull mate, About the same style I had in mind for a project of mine. ill be sure to keep this as inspiration if you don't mind. #Jelly
  22. Thanks mate Appreciate it. The questions I have are pretty basic I assume and don't worrie Ill still use the website and shoutbox but it would just be nicer to talk to someone directly aswell.
  23. I'm fully aware that everything is findable here and everyone is willing to help. However alot of things on here are things I don't understand yet and I would still prefer to have someone to talk to one on one instead of making threads and gravedigging every 20 seconds.
