Yeah WoD model viewer cant load custom "patches" yet, sadly. Its the only downside I've seen.

So...
For now, WoD modding include:
- Mapping
- Interface modding
- Serverside modding
- Retro-Porting from legion.

But idk about launcher, is it real for WoD. And serverside is so different from 3.3.5a. (Idk how can I port all my DB from 3.3.5 to WoD server)
I actually not good in serverside modding :(

My personal opinion on LK / WoD modding is simple -> I hate what WoW Became When Cat came out and every expansion from That Certain point around 2010 (Cat +) was only worse gameplay was totally fucked up back Then in early WoW times it was Difficult to get into high tier of player base you Had to spend actual time to get something it was about grinding but now you get Everything without any Significant need for player's skill or huge of amount of time now every single scrub can get every single crap you can of thing thats what I hate

Community was Divided into masters and noobs but now with all Those Shits like mass adjusting stats in BGS Lizzard community made it fade into Each Other and way to stand out from Those lines of players are quite gone ... if you dont get what I mean I give you one simple example

Vanila from 1 lvl to 60 is about 3,5 days approx ( iv seen 1d13h in extreme)
Legion from 1lvl to 110 is about 8 hours approx (iv seen 6,5h in extreme)
Gems are gone too glyphs too as I know and talents are generally shit compared to LK system etc ..,

for me everything above LK is like this  
graphics - 11/10
gameplay - 2/10

bro we are not talking about blizz like continant

I know they made the game noob friendly

wow modding most care to do their own content quest story own maps own mostthings and edit how hard as we want etc

and my friend why we want legion because it have many new features and a very strong engine

I build tools for WoD because i port my server from 3.3.5a to 6.2.4. If i switch from 6.2.4 to Legion in 1 or 2 years i can build tools for this but at the moment i dont need tools for Legion

What the modding community needs isn't a developed TC 335a or WoD, or Legion for that matter, what everyone needs is basically a rewritten WoW wordpress-type template engine, like that MMOSDK or some other projects that were never finished.

Problem is only the size of WoW but by now even that doesn't matter I mean just look at the all the forums how many people are doing this its really high time someone develop some template open source something, decrypted and without made up rules like trinity 'must be Blizzlike' and such.

And about the size, it even doesn't have to be too overwhelming if e.g. they made lets say - Azeroth+Kalimdor and 6 basic race classes as a some kind of core, and all other extras can be developed by other people and deposited like wordpress plugins.

@wungasaurus didn't find any dissolve spell in wod or animated texture if u know a spell plz tell me the ID

and about the phys files yess its in mop but in legion it had been updated and if you know anyone downport the artifact flail weapon to wod because I didn't see anyone downported it

if you can can you do a tutorial for It ?

Necessity is the mother of invention, it's what i have been doing since i stopped modding 335a and started learning to code. Now winter is upon me again i have been seriously looking at the server tech that runs nostalrius (hoping they release it soon) and all my attention now involves using UE4 to implement a very basic vanilla Wow client using nost server software to run in a private setting to reverse Wow assets to load in unreal 4.

With so much information that has come from reversing Wow clients and so many amazing people dedicating time to modding blizzards stuff, a new client at least working with the basic functionality of vanilla Wow can be done, we don't have to hack the shit out blizzards clients, we can create our own client now and move forward from there!.. at least that what i'm trying and even now i have basic stuff loading and i'm getting excited about the possibilities. I spent so much time trying to mod beyond 335a and having so many client crashes this new project with UE4 feels much more satisfying to me.

Yea, i have seen many small projects presentations on youtube showing areas around wow done UE4 and was like :o:o . If the possibility exists to update a normal client to work as UE4 then a new era in modding will start.
