So... :D. You can't actually assume that a reader knows absolutely nothing about modding because otherwise writing a tutorial can be quite a maddening task to do :D. I'll see what I can do about this, but some time ago I gave up even on writing czech tutorials and thats my mature language. Writing in english is even a bigger pain to me sometimes (and to those who read it and actually do speak and write english properly probably as well).

i understand what you are trying to say, after all its your precious time.. i really do, i just cant fking understand how you people learned this stuff, because till 6 years before all i knew was how to play games, and even now i feel with all these things i discover that i am still in the same spot.. having moved at all

Blizzard stole ideas from nordic mythology, Tolkien, other various legends or history, it's not stealing the work of somebody.

Modders don't steal blizzard contents too... we just modify or add new elements to the game, it's totally not stealing.

 

BUT, when you stole the content of another modder, you can say it's stealing.

And Blizz didn't just take as you're saying popular culture mythology it ripped of real brands like warhammer, everquest existed bfore wow, D&D. WoW is more of a lucky combination of everything mixed up, with a disgusting disneyland dressing all over it to get a wider appeal, kungfu pandas and anime bloodelfs,no blood or sex, to hoard as many asians and 11 year olds as they possibly can.

Truth of the matter is you and everyone else here is doing their very creative and whatnot 2.75% modifications on a very convenient 98% rest of a game done by Blizz, even more handy is the widespread popular name World of Warcraft to slap on your genius modifications and run the server. You can call that whatever you want but its pretty clear whats going on there.

The reason behind not sharing new tools and methods is simple. 

The person sacrifice days or even weeks during his work. This person needs inspiring to continue his work, and lies to himself he is going to make a fortune with his new skills. When will the person get back the time that he spent on his work? 
Well if he find somebody who pay for his skills. 

And what's going to happen if he give his work to public? He never will get profit, who would pay for something or even donate for something that free? In short, he will be at the same position as before start to work on his idea, or not? He "lost" the time while creating his idea. 
This situation is very true for programmers and designers. This kind of job needs smart thinking and creativity. They are actually clever people who worth their money. They put their efforts into something that become unique and specific. Who would give his time for free which is limited? Hell, people needs money, even programmers and designers. They have to buy always the newest electronic equipment or going on holiday after sitting in the dark room for months. 

I don't want to protect people who refuse to share their work. Just want to explain how their brain works according to my opinion. If you don't agree with me i gladly read your answers, always happy to discuss with people who are thinking different. :D

Of course. Still, people like schlumpf are still sharing things without any requirements or interest in personal profit. Telling people that you're amazing and have things that everyone else does not is just a dick move to the public in that situation. If you really want to make money, go ahead, but please don't annoy us with it. We don't give a shit about your personal profit. Greed will never lead to a higher truth.
